Covid-19 update



Following the National Government Guidelines, all Parish Council meetings have now been suspended until further notice.

The Parish Council has put in place arrangements to assist any resident in the villages who needs help. Attached is a FORM which can be completed by you if you need some assistance or if you would like to volunteer to help your neighbours, this may involve getting shopping or prescriptions. Please note the council has taken the decision to close the play area at the Village Hall. We would ask that everyone respects this decision and do not attempt to enter the play area.

The Colchester Borough Council elections that were due to take place on 7th May 2020 have now been postponed until 2021.

The Village Hall is now closed until further notice and all events cancelled. 

With effect from 8th June 2020, CBC are trialling a different method for residents to obtain recycling equipment, you can read about this HERE. With effect from 22nd June, all refuse and recycling collections will return to normal, view the current calendar HERE


Essex County Council are reopening the Colchester Recycling Centre from 18th May. There will be a limit as to how many vehicles can assess the site, so you may have to queue to gain access. Also only one person to get out of each vehicle. Please only take to the centre those items that are not currently being collected by kerbside collections.

Essex County Council will be reopening its Country Parks from Thursday 21st May 2020. Note with effect from 12th June 2020, the opening times will return to normal - 8am to dusk. Please continue to observe social distancing measures when accessing the parks.
